As you navigate through the different pages, you will get to learn more about me. But in a nutshell, I am epidemiologist with expertise in Veterinary Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Data science with a keen interest in applying data science and epidemiology tools to understand the transmission, evolution and immunity dynamics of infectious pathogens in livestock systems. I currently work at the Department of Biomedical and Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
My research embodies my passion for promoting resilient and sustainable livelihoods by enhancing data-driven decision-making to address health challenges in communities and formulate relevant policies. Current research is at the intersection of public health and veterinary sciences, employing statistical modeling, machine learning, and phylodynamic techniques to study infectious disease dynamics in livestock systems and antimicrobial resistance. I am committed to advancing population health and sustainable livelihoods through rigorous research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical data practices.
